SJ is excited to announce the tryout date and time for U14s, Saturday October 26th.  Any player that is younger than U14 is welcome to attend our tryouts.  SJ evaluates the talent in the gym and selects players based on athletic ability versus age. 

SJ recognizes that tryouts can be a balancing act for families.   If an athlete needs to leave early from our tryout, please let us know when checking in.  We just need to know what time so our coaches can evaluate accordingly. 

Offers will be given out during tryouts.  If a make-up tryout is necessary, it will take place on Monday, October 28^th.   The announcement will be made after the 48-hour window on the afternoon of the 28^th.

There will be a parent meeting 15 minutes into the tryout.  Parents are welcome stay and watch after the meeting.  If an offer is given, it is important for the parents to be available.  All players will know their status before leaving tryouts.  Lastly, there is a section on the PSR website to help parents navigate tryouts with their athletes, click here to read.

Practices for this age groups are held at First Baptist Church, Everett, WA.  Practices are twice a week: Tuesday (6-9pm) and Thursday (7-9pm).  Details around season schedule, season fees, etc. will be discussed at the parent meeting.

There is a $30 non-refundable tryout fee collected when you register online.

• A signed copy of the PSR Player Participation and Medical Authorization form.  Click here to locate the form.  Seattle Juniors will be keeping this form.

Come meet the 14s coaches and sharpen your skills. The night begins emphasizing different skills then concludes with application in scrimmage. PSR tryout memberships are required for insurance purposes. Seattle Juniors is offering this every Monday and Wednesday, 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Overlake Christian Church gym for $10/night. This is the home facility for our older teams. The U14s practice in Everett.

Mikala Pratt will be the head coach for the U14 team. She is a setter that played for Concordia University in Portland in the GNAC league. She has been an assistant coach for U17, 16, and 15. She has been a C-team coach at Inglemoor High School. The rest of her bio can be found on our website. Paige Wilson is returning to Seattle Juniors as a coach this year. She just wrapped up a college career at Pomona College after being a four-year outside hitter for SJ.

Information for tryouts will be released before the end of September. We encourage U13 athletes to consider trying out. We will select players based on their ability to play at this level regardless of age.
